Martie Smith: A Life of Resilience, Purpose, and Global Perspective

Learning from different cultures, surgeries, and personal traumas, Martie Smith has gathered a wealth of life lessons that now shape her mission to help others live with purpose, flexibility, and resilience. Born in Colombia, South America, Martie’s life journey has been anything but ordinary. Having moved 49 times across countries and communities, she developed a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, adaptability, and the strength required to begin again.

A bilingual coach and proud Air Force veteran, Martie’s experiences extend far beyond geography. Physical challenges, emotional healing, and transformative life moments taught her how resilience is not simply about surviving hardship, but about growing through it. Today, she resides in North Carolina with her husband and partner of 40 years, where she continues to turn lived experience into guidance for others.

Martie is a certified Resilience Coach, speaker, and mentor, known for her authentic voice and compassionate leadership. Her work centers on guiding individuals to rise stronger, heal deeper, and transform challenges into opportunities for growth. Whether on an international stage or in a one-on-one mentoring session, she brings heart, clarity, and hope to every interaction.

She is also the author of Tiny Sparks: Shine Bright, Little Light, a beautifully illustrated children’s book that helps young readers explore emotions, build self-esteem, and celebrate their unique inner light. Through gentle affirmations, the book nurtures positivity and emotional resilience from an early age.

In recognition of her impact, Martie was honored with the Brainz 500 Global Award in 2024 for her leadership in resilience and personal growth. To learn more about her work and mission, visit Martie Smith Resilience Ambassador and begin your own journey toward strength, clarity, and purpose.
